Samsung’s One UI 9 is based on Android 17 and is already reaching a range of its mid-range phones. This comes as a surprise, considering the company didn’t take long to push it after the flagship S and Z-series phones. It almost feels like Samsung is not wasting any time. Keeping up the momentum, the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A37 is now rolling out in the US. This comes after its initial release in South Korea and Europe.
One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A37 rolls out in the US
The Galaxy A37 originally received the One UI 9 update last week, but it was limited to South Korea then. However, it began rolling out globally, starting with Europe yesterday, and now it’s finally reaching the US. It is available for the carrier-locked variant with the firmware version A37UQQU5BZI6. Meanwhile, the factory-unlocked variant carries the firmware version A376U1EU5BZI6. Since it just started rolling out, the update might take a couple of days to reach every unit.
Unfortunately, the update doesn’t include the October 2026 security patch. It’ll likely arrive separately. Those in the US can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates option. If it’s available, the phone should start downloading it automatically.Â

Though there aren’t any major UI changes or a big features list, One UI 9 is still an interesting update for the little things it brings to the table. Firstly, there’s the more customizable Quick Panel to resize and rearrange the tiles. Then there’s a dedicated Warranty and Care section in the Settings app and a redesigned Samsung Health app.
There’s a location indicator for added privacy transparency. It introduces a new Bixby experience powered by large language models, new Bixby widgets, and a more customizable lock screen widget. The default Samsung Notes app is also seeing some UI changes.Â
