
Hypershell has come to IFA 2026 to announce the new Hypershell Halo, a full-leg exoskeleton that improves on the company’s previous design with a new four-motor system that empowers all-terrain, all-mobility movement. In addition to the new four-motor system, Hypershell says that Halo is powered by HyperIntuition 2.0, which is an AI motion control algorithm.
What this algorithm does is use neural networks that were specially developed for this system to anticipate what movements the wearer is going to make in real-time. It can also anticipate changes in terrain and load, and with that data it distributes the assistance that the wearer might need across all four joints or where the wearer might need assistance the most.

The four-motor system is just part of the Hypershell Halo’s advancements, which also include what the company is calling an industry-first Hypershell Unified Architecture. This consists of “continuous carbon-fiber load-bearing structure” that goes from the hip to the lower leg, with powered joints at the hip and knee on both the left and right legs.
This is what allows Halo to operate as a single full-leg system that can help the wearer control descent down a steeper mountain path, while also helping with propulsion and weight-bearing support. Hypershell says it can also help cushion the landing as your feet come down.
Hypershell also highlights the Fish-Spine Adaptive Joint, which lets the carbon-fiber load-bearing structure follow the hip’s natural movement instead of staying locked to a fixed mechanical axis. Hypershell Halo is IP54-rated for resistance against dust and splashing water, and it comes with an AI sidekick called Shelly that users can interact with through an app to help set up the device and plan adventures. Hypershell has not yet announced an availability date or pricing.
