The Samsung Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will not be getting faster charging, it seems. Both devices have been spotted on China’s 3C certification authority, which basically confirms their charging speeds.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 and S27+ will not be getting faster charging
According to the listing, the Galaxy S27, which popped up in the form of the SM-S9520 model number, will support 25W wired charging. That’s the same charging speed as the Galaxy S26. Samsung has been pushing the same charging speed since the Galaxy S20, by the way.
What about the Galaxy S27+? Well, that phone surfaced under the SM-S9560 model number, and it will offer faster charging than the Galaxy S27. It will support 45W charging. However, that’s the same charging speed its predecessor offered, the Galaxy S26+. It is also the same charging speed the ‘Plus’ series has had since the Galaxy S22+.
We’re still not sure about the Galaxy S27 Pro, but chances are it will have the same charging speed as the Galaxy S27 Ultra. There’s a good chance that Samsung will retain 60W wired charging on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, as that was the charging speed the Galaxy S26 Ultra offered. We still cannot confirm that, though.
Those two phones won’t change much compared to their predecessors in general
It’s not exactly surprising that Samsung won’t change the charging speed on the Galaxy S27 or Galaxy S27+. Those two phones won’t change much in general compared to their predecessors.
Samsung will even keep the same design, basically. The Galaxy S27 Ultra will get a camera redesign, if nothing else, while the Galaxy S27 Pro will be molded based on the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s design.
It is also worth noting that you won’t be getting a charger in the box with the Galaxy S27 or Galaxy S27+. That’s something we’re already used to at this point, but it’s worth saying regardless. A Type-C cable will be included, though.
