The Mesa Planning & Zoning Board okayed ER2’s application for a new headquarters at the corner of McDowell and Greenfield roads. The IT services and technology equipment recycling company plans to invest approximately $45 million and nearly double its Valley footprint by building a 155,000-square-foot industrial headquarters on vacant land near Falcon Field Airport.
ER2 is currently headquartered in Mesa at 730 E. Southern Ave. with a Phoenix office at 1710 E. Washington St.Â
The Phoenix Business Journal reports that the company began operations at its Mesa facility in 2012 and opened its Phoenix location in 2019 after outgrowing its Mesa facility. ER2 is consolidating its two Valley facilities into one larger building. The new space will support 250 to 300 employees.
The build-to-suit development will include a 155,597-square-foot light industrial building with 132,544-square-foot first floor and a 23,043-square-foot second floor. The building will also have a fitness center, sauna, golf simulator, gaming coves, production studio and covered parking.
LGE Design Build is listed as the architect for the project and Hunter Engineering is the civil engineer.
