September will be off the hook when it comes to smartphone launches. Over 20 smartphones are expected to launch this September, some of which are truly high-profile devices. On top of that, IFA 2026 will take place in early September, not to mention that two high-profile chips are coming as well.
Tons of smartphones will launch in September, over 20 of them
So, what exactly is coming? Well, let’s start with foldables. The Huawei Mate XT 2 will launch on September 7, while the Xiaomi 18 Fold is also expected to arrive in September, Ice Universe claims. Apple’s first foldable will also grace us with its presence next month.
When it comes to flagship phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to arrive alongside the company’s first foldable. The Vivo X500 series is coming, as well as the OPPO Find X10 series, the tipster says.
Furthermore, the Huawei Mate 90 series is expected to arrive in September, and the same goes for the Xiaomi 18 series. As if that’s not enough, the HONOR Magic9 series is also expected, as well as the iQOO 16 series.
Two major flagship chips are expected to arrive as well
So we’ll have plenty of both foldables and slab phones to see in September. What about chips? Well, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will be announced on September 22.
The Apple A20 series chips will arrive alongside the company’s phones in September, while the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 series is also expected. On top of that. Huawei’s new Kirin chips are expected to drop with the company’s Mate 90 series.
September is usually packed with new launches, but this year will be off the hook. This could be the most packed September in terms of high-profile mobile tech product launches ever. Granted, many of these products will see product launches in China (at least for now). Products such as the Vivo X500 series, OPPO Find X10 series, Huawei Mate 90 series, and so on.
