Ice Universe, a trusted tipster, has been talking about the Galaxy S27 Ultra design for a couple of days now. He has also been sharing images of the device and talking about its size. With that being said, he just touched upon the other three Galaxy S27 series devices.
The Galaxy S27 series has a small design difference between models
The tipster pointed to a small design difference that the Samsung Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Pro have compared to the Galaxy S27 Ultra. If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll quickly realize what he’s talking about.
The Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Pro main speaker will sit on the right side. On the Galaxy S27 Ultra, that speaker will remain on the left side. The speakers on all phones will still sit at the bottom, though, of course.
This means that the placement remains unchanged compared to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. That means that the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Pro will have an advantage of sorts over the ‘Ultra’ model… at least if you’re right-handed.
Depending on how you hold your phone and whether you’re right or left-handed, the placement may annoy you. Why? Well, covering a speaker with your pinky finger when you’re holding the device is never a good idea.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra will be the only one with a speaker on the left side
While Ice Universe did show us what the Galaxy S27 Ultra will look like, he didn’t show us much regarding the other three phones. These bottom shots of all three devices are all that we have at this point, and the images seem to be based on CAD renders.
All four of these smartphones are expected to arrive in the first quarter of next year. If we had to guess, we’d say that they’ll launch in either January or February, as is usually the case when it comes to Galaxy S smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will be the most powerful device, of course, and all four phones will finally get magnets on the back. You’ll be able to snap them onto magnetic chargers, use various MagSafe accessories, and so on.
