Google has now put out the factory images for the Pixel 11 devices, just one day after the phones launched officially at retailers. Google announced the Pixel 11 series back on August 12 and the phones went on sale on August 20, with the phones being available through Google directly, as well as retail partners online and in stores, and through carriers as well.
Users are just starting to have their devices ship or show up at their doorstep, and anyone who didn’t pre-order can now pick one up in-store where the phones are being sold. All four devices come out of the box running on Android 17. Google has put out the images for all four devices, including the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. There are also three factory images available for each of the four devices. Google has everything separated by model, but it does not label the image downloads with for regions or carriers.
The Pixel 11 factory images are available for download but they won’t add anything new
Since these factory images are just now being released, one day after the phones have launched in stores, they won’t be adding anything new to the devices once people receive them. Rather, the factory images for each Pixel model can be used revert to a factory state of the device software if ever necessary.
If you’re worried about needing the factory images, which could be possible if your device ends up with a big software issue, downloading them could be a nice safety net. It’s possible to download the factory images for your specific Pixel 11 model directly from Google’s ‘Google Play Services’ website. You’ll first need to acknowledge that you’ve read some necessary information on the main page, and after clicking the blue acknowledge button at the bottom, you’ll be taken to the page with all of the links.
