Pixel phones have some neat tricks that other phones don’t, like the ability to check Bluetooth connectivity and troubleshoot the issues if there are any, and now it looks like Google may be adding a general Connectivity diagnostic option with a new feature called Connectivity Health. The feature is reportedly being worked on by Google at the moment and there isn’t a confirmation of the rollout date.
Connectivity Health is another self diagnostic tool that is designed to help you address possible problems with different connectivity methods on your Pixel phone. For example, if you’re phone is having an issue with the Wi-Fi connectivity, then the Connectivity Health feature would be able to tell you there’s an issue that was detected, and then you could troubleshoot it.
Connectivity Health lets Pixel users check on mobile data, Wi-Fi, and calls
If your phone is having an issue with mobile data, you will generally know it once you start trying to load anything that requires a data connection. The same thing goes for Wi-Fi. However, maybe you aren’t sure, or maybe you want to know what can be done about the issue. That’s what this Connectivity Health feature is for.
Android Authority reports that it was able to activate it and check out how it all works. The Connectivity Health feature will be located in the Network & Internet settings menu, and it’ll be all the way toward the bottom of that menu. If you tap on it, you’ll get a display of whether any issues were detected for your connectivity methods.
From there, you get more diagnostic help to try and troubleshoot stuff if an issue is detected. It also has diagnostic help for all three categories, so you can go through them one by one and figure out what you can try to fix the problems.
