The team behind Instabase is taking a bold new direction. The company announced today that Instabase rebrands as SuperApp, launching a fresh platform designed to bring team messaging, document creation, and artificial intelligence into a single unified workspace.
Backed by over $250 million in total funding raised since 2015, SuperApp, Inc. is pivoting its focus toward multi-user AI collaboration. It’s noteworthy that the company’s existing enterprise tool, Instabase AI Hub, will remain fully supported. Meanwhile, the newly launched SuperApp represents an entirely fresh product built from the ground up.
Turning chat threads into working documents
The core idea behind SuperApp is simple: stop jumping between apps for communication, research and drafting. Currently, most teams discuss projects in one app, query an AI chatbot in another, and paste the final results into a third tool. SuperApp aims to eliminate those context-losing handoffs by turning the conversation thread itself into the actual workspace.
Inside a single SuperApp thread, team members can chat, upload source files, and prompt AI to generate researched briefs, spreadsheets, slide decks, or interactive tools. Human teammates and AI models share the same discussion space. This means everyone can refine ideas, compare answers, and approve final deliverables together.
Freedom of models and data control
Model flexibility is a major attraction for enterprise users. SuperApp doesn’t restrict teams to a single AI ecosystem. Instead, it gives them direct access to top models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. Users can compare outputs side-by-side or automatically route specific subtasks to whichever AI model handles them best.
Company founder and CEO Anant Bhardwaj highlighted that while private chatbots work fine for individuals, real enterprise work happens in groups. SuperApp is built around three core principles: freedom of model selection, full control over enterprise data, and flexible cloud deployment options that prevent vendor lock-in.
Built for accountability and available today
To ensure accountability in professional environments, SuperApp tracks every prompt, human feedback note, and document revision in an inspectable audit record. Critical actions and final approvals still require explicit human confirmation before work is finalized.
SuperApp is available starting today via web at superapp.chat, alongside dedicated desktop, iOS, and Android applications. Tiered pricing options include Free, Personal, Team, and Enterprise plans.
