If you’ve been waiting to see what Samsung has in store for its next batch of high-end Android tablets, a series of new regulatory filings suggests an official announcement is right around the corner. The upcoming Galaxy Tab S12+ just cleared the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database. This signals that its American debut is officially on the launchpad.

Connectivity specs and the return of the Plus model
This sighting follows a busy trail of regulatory stops. The tablet already had an appearance on South Korea’s Safety Korea database—which actually leaked a live photo of the device—and double listings on India’s BIS platform for both the Tab S12+ and its beefier sibling, the Tab S12 Ultra.
The FCC documents confirm plenty of key hardware details for the US build. The list includes support for 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E on the 6GHz band, Bluetooth, NFC, and standard GNSS location tracking. Power users will also find 45W wired fast charging and active S Pen support. Plus, a physical microSD card slot is all along for the ride.
What makes this release especially interesting is how it reshapes Samsung’s tablet lineup. Samsung skipped the Plus size altogether in September 2025’s Galaxy Tab S11 series—leaving us with just the standard S11 and the massive S11 Ultra. So, the firm is bringing back the middle option to bridge that gap for users who want screen space without going overboard.
Heavyweight hardware and long-term software support
The new Galaxy Tab S12+ is set to feature a sharp 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. MediaTek’s flagship 3nm Dimensity 9500 chip will power the device along with 12GB of RAM. The tablet will start from a base version with 256GB of storage. Plus, a battery rated between 10,500mAh and 10,600mAh will keep the lights on.
The front panel houses a 12MP camera capable of 4K recording for your video calls. Software-wise, the Galaxy Tab S12+ will run Android 17-based One UI 9.0, and if Samsung sticks to its top-tier software promise, it should get seven full years of Android OS upgrades and security patches.
If history is any guide, we could see the Galaxy Tab S12 series land later this fall. It could share the stage with the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE.
