The Samsung Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra are now getting the latest update Samsung released. We’re talking about the July 2026 Android security update. They both follow the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy Watch 7 series, and Galaxy Watch 8 series, which were first to get the update.

Having said that, the rollout of this update is starting in Korea. It will reach a lot more markets in a matter of days. The update for the Galaxy S25 series weighs 560.77MB, while the one for the Galaxy Watch Ultra weighs 166.97MB.
You can manually check for the update via Settings -> Software update, though that likely won’t improve your chances of getting it early by much. Be patient, the update is coming very soon.
This update brings 57 security fixes, as Samsung announced the other day. 41 of those fixes come from Google, while 16 are provided by Samsung. 5 critical vulnerabilities are fixed here, along with 42 high-severity vulnerabilities.
This is not a huge update by any means. It does, however, improve the security on all these devices, so that’s nice to see. Just to be clear, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are all getting the update.
New Samsung products are coming on July 22
July will be packed with Samsung news, as the company is hosting its second Unpacked launch event of the year on July 22. The company confirmed as much recently, and a handful of new devices are coming.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will all be announced during that event. We’ve already shared official renders of all those phones, so you can check them out via links in this paragraph if you’re interested.
