Google is set to announce new Pixels on August 12, as the company confirmed yesterday. Now we’re starting to see more leaks of its upcoming devices, like the new Pixel Watch 5.
According to a report from Dealabs, the Pixel Watch 5 will once again come in two sizes and two connectivity variants. That’s going ot be 41mm and 45mm, both available in Bluetooth/WiFi and LTE. Surprisingly, no 5G variant here, just like we’re seeing with the new Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Prices are also going up on the Pixel Watch 5, which is not a huge surprise. We’re seeing a Galaxy Watch 9 price increase too.
| Bluetooth/WiFi | LTE | |
|---|---|---|
| Google Pixel Watch 5 (41mm) | $399 / €419 / £369 | $499 / €519 / £469 |
| Google Pixel Watch 5 (45mm) | $429 / €449 / £399 | $529 / €549 / £499 |
We’re looking at price increases of around $50 for each variant. Which isn’t too bad, though it does make the Pixel Watch 5 more expensive than the Galaxy Watch 9, at least in Europe. We have not yet seen Galaxy Watch 9 prices for the US or the UK.

The Pixel Watch 5 will also be available in four colors this year. This comes from Nieuwe Mobiel. Both sizes will come in Natural Silver, Dark Anthracite, and Pyrite, with the 41mm coming in Warm Gold as well.
The Android Headlines Take
A price increase on the Pixel Watch 5 is not very surprising. We’re seeing price increases virtually everywhere, on everything. And at $50 more expensive, it does make you think twice about potentially upgrading this year. We’ll have to wait and see what kind of deals Google has, as well as new features for the Pixel Watch 5.
As far as the colors go, I would bet money that these are not going to be the final names of these colors. The Pixel Watch 4 currently uses “Matte Black” and “Polished Silver” for color names, and we’d expect that to continue with the Pixel Watch 5.
