Next month, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 8, among other products like the Galaxy Watch 9, and ahead of Unpacked, we’re getting some more leaks, including the wallpapers that will be shipping on the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
At first glance, there’s not much to talk about with these wallpapers that X user @fahadalijaved shared; they look like the typical Samsung-style wallpapers, with some new colors and designs. These are high-resolution wallpapers, so you can download them and use them on your current device(s), if you wish. You can download the full-res images here.
It’s worth noting that these are designed for the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s internal display, and they have a resolution of 2,504×2,504 pixels, making it a perfect square. There are some that were shared for the external display, which has a resolution of 2,520×1080. This isn’t a huge surprise, since Ice Universe had previously revealed that Samsung had increased the resolution of the internal display of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 compared to its predecessor.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 is set to be unveiled next month in London
Samsung has not yet announced it, but the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be announced in London next month. Rumors are pointing to a July 22nd launch event. This is where we will see the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. We could also see some other surprises, like the new AI glasses that Samsung is working on with Google, Qualcomm, and Gentle Monster/Warby Parker. Those are expected to launch this Fall, so we’d fully expect to see them shown off at Unpacked.
Pre-orders are likely to open for these devices right after Unpacked and will be available within two weeks. That has been the timeline for previous launches from Samsung.
