With Android 17 having started to roll out to Pixel devices, the attention has now turned to the June Security Patch, which has also now started to roll out to compatible devices. This includes several different Pixel device models, including devices that go all the way back to the Pixel 6 series. So don’t worry if you’re using an older model because Google is covering the last few years and then some.
It is worth noting that not everyone is going to get this patch at the same time. While it has started to hit some device, it is likely to take at least a day or two before it actually rolls out to all devices that are compatible. Having said that, this is a patch you’re going to want to keep an eye out for because it fixes quite a few bugs that have been pestering users for months, though not every single one.
The June 2026 security patch for Pixel devices fixes several long-standing bugs
While this doesn’t appear to address the boot loop bug that’s been plaguing devices for months at this point, there is another sort of fix that Google has put in place for that. Though keep in mind that that requires calling Pixel support, and if you’re having that issue you should definitely do that. With this security patch, there are a few notable fixes to watch out for.
This includes a fix for camera stability issues that could cause the camera app to crash. This one could be a real pain if you use your camera a lot. So, users are understandably going to be happy about this one. There are also some fixes for graphical issues pertaining to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 8 devices, as noted by Android Authority.
There’s a location and GPS fix as well. Specifically, Google says this fixes location accuracy and measurement reliability during voice calls in certain locations. One of the more annoying bugs was related to slower wireless charging. This has also reportedly been fixed.
