OnePlus is working on a smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery, and it could be the OnePlus Ace 17T. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the most prominent tipsters in the industry.
A 10,000mAh OnePlus smartphone is on the way, and it could be the OnePlus Ace 7T
Do note that he did not mention the OnePlus 17T; that’s just our guess based on everything he said. He not only mentioned a 10,000mAh battery, but also some other specs that this smartphone will offer.
The tipster says that OnePlus is currently testing the SM8845 chip on this phone, aka the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 processor from Qualcomm. A flat display with a 1.5K resolution and an 185Hz refresh rate was also mentioned. This will be an LTPS display, not an LTPO panel.
That is basically everything the tipster said about the phone. Now, for context, the OnePlus Ace 6T, which arrived back in December last year, was relaunched as the OnePlus 15R. That device did reach global markets, and it was one of the best budget-oriented phones to get.
This phone could be relaunched as the OnePlus 16R
So, if this ends up being the OnePlus Ace 7T, it could be re-released as the OnePlus 16R next year. Considering all the reports surrounding OnePlus’ future in Europe and the US, we’re not sure if that phone will become a reality, though. We sure hope so, though.
Chances are that the OnePlus Ace 7T won’t launch until Q4 this year, most probably not before December. This is some early info shared by Digital Chat Station, as the phone seems to be under testing.
As a reminder, OnePlus will soon launch the OnePlus Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro phones. They were teased very recently, and earlier today the company announced their launch event… it’s June 10. They’ll launch in China.
