When the words “Mansory” and “G-Class” appear in the same sentence, you already know the result is going to be polarizing. With their latest creation, the controversial German tuning house has outdone itself. Enter the Mansory P720, a “price on request” gold G-Wagon that somehow manages to make the standard six-figure luxury SUV look completely pedestrian by comparison.

The Mansory P720
This heavily modified G-Class isn’t just accented with gold; gold is all you see. Mansory bathed every conceivable inch of the SUV’s widebody exterior in a striking matte gold finish. The sheer volume of precious-metal styling is visually staggering. It coats the reworked front grille, gaping air intakes, low chin spoiler, and a vented custom hood. Moving along the car, flared wheel arches, bespoke side steps, unique tailpipes, and massive aftermarket wheels are all finished in, you guessed it, gold.
Around the back, the Mansory Gold G-Wagon continues the sensory assault. It features a prominent roof-mounted spoiler, a custom spare wheel cover, and a reimagined rear bumper complete with twin supplemental LED taillights – all in the same gold. Whether you view it as the ultimate billionaire flex or a rolling monument to questionable taste, it absolutely commands attention.

On the inside, the P720 boasts a rather classy, subdued beige leather retrim. On any other exterior color, it may even look good; however, with the gold exterior, it just seems like a lack of contrasting stimulus. Mansory has presented more subdued approaches to its interiors with other recent Mansory creations as well.
Of course, Mansory simply couldn’t resist adding a few characteristic eccentricities. The cabin features LED-backlit illuminated stitching on the door panels and a chaotic starlight headliner. The most bizarre interior quirk is undoubtedly the engine Start/Stop button—it has been inexplicably relocated to the roof lining. You now have to reach above your head just to fire up this gilded brick.

All Show, No Go?
Lurking beneath that gold hood, the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine has been tuned to produce a significant 720 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. While the stock Mercedes-AMG G 63 is never lacking in performance, this power bump ensures the Mansory Gold G-Wagen, like other Mansory-tuned cars, has the power needed to back up its extravagant appearance.
Ultimately, Mansory’s latest creation is exactly what we have come to expect from the tuner: unapologetically loud and obnoxiously attention-grabbing. It’s an imposing SUV built specifically for those who find a standard AMG G-Class entirely too subtle. Fortunately, with 720 horsepower on tap, the owner can easily make a remarkably quick getaway before onlookers can fully process the sheer absurdity of a solid matte gold Mercedes.
