Samsung begins beta testing its Gaming Hub app on mobile devices and is now recruiting testers. Samsung’s Gaming Hub platform on Galaxy phones acts as a central hub to manage, discover, and optimize the experience. The new version aims to offer gamers improved usability, more customization options, and some new features.
Samsung kicks off Gaming Hub beta testing
The new version of the Gaming Hub app will reportedly simplify managing and accessing games based on the user’s gaming history. It’s now easier to reach options like bookmarks, mute, and the notification bar. Additionally, it’ll also display a countdown before a game starts, allowing users to do other tasks while waiting. Plus, the app will also offer expanded gamer profile customization. The tech giant notes that Gaming Hub will use your gaming history to offer personalized insights.
It pulls data from platforms like Galaxy Store, Google Play, and cloud gaming platforms like NVIDIA GeForce Now and Xbox to recommend content that it thinks is useful, such as walkthrough videos. Additionally, the Gaming Hub app will also show tailored promotions and pre-order alerts. It’ll analyze data from a user’s gaming activity across game stores for this. User engagement will see some changes through notifications like daily streaks and in-game achievements.
There will be three updates
The Gaming Hub beta program has already begun (on May 19th, i.e., yesterday) and will end on July 10th, 2026. During this period, Samsung will release updated versions of the app in three phases, with the first update scheduled for May 19th (already live), the second phase update on June 2nd, and the third phase on June 16th, 2026.
Samsung will also collect feedback from testers through surveys to improve future versions. It’ll conduct three rounds of surveys. The first from June 2nd to June 15th, the second from June 16th to June 29th, and the third from June 30th to July 10th, 2026.
