The Motorola Razr 2026 has officially been announced. And the Razr 2026 release date is officially May 21, 2026.
The device was announced on April 29, with pre-orders opening on May 14.
The Razr 2026 is a pretty nice upgrade from the Razr 2025, even though the spec sheet doesn’t show a major upgrade. We’re looking at a slightly upgraded processor to the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
It also has a pretty massive battery upgrade to 4,800mAh. That’s about 12% larger than last year’s Razr. And this is because Motorola is going all-in on Silicon-Carbon battery tech. This makes Motorola the only foldable phone maker in the US using Silicon-Carbon, since OnePlus never followed up with an OnePlus Open 2.
Motorola raises the price of Razr 2026
Unfortunately, this year, Motorola had to raise the price of the Razr. Previously, the entry-level Razr was $699, but this year, Motorola had to up the price to $799. That’s a $100 price increase and it’s likely because of the ongoing RAM-pocalypse. We’ve already seen Motorola have to raise prices on a number of other devices – most notably its Moto G series.
Still, at $799 the Motorola Razr 2026 is a really good option for a flip phone. It does offer some great performance, plenty of storage, and it also has really good battery life. This is thanks to the larger battery and the more efficient processor. So if you’re worried about the battery life on a flip phone because they typically have smaller batteries, you don’t need to worry about that here.
Finally, the Razr 2026 also comes in four colors once again this year. These include PANTONE Hematite, PANTONE Violet Ice, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Bright White. Some pretty nice-looking colors here, with different textures as well.
