Xiaomi appears to be preparing for a major release this May. Both the standard and Pro versions of the upcoming 17T series have surfaced in regulatory listings and benchmark databases. A recent certification from Brazil’s Anatel agency has provided our first real-world look at the vanilla Xiaomi 17T with some images, while Geekbench results offer a glimpse into the raw power of the Pro model.
Xiaomi 17T live images leak
The live images, first shared by Technoblog, showcase a design that feels familiar (via GSMArena). There are some subtle refinements, though. The camera island still houses three sensors, but the layout has changed. More specifically, the company is moving the LED flash outside the main bump. Leica branding remains a central part of the general aesthetics.
Xiaomi 17T Pro in Geekbench AI, chip differences with base 17T
According to Geekbench AI listings, the Xiaomi 17T Pro variant will pack the Dimensity 9500 high-end 3nm chip. There is also 12GB RAM on board (via Abhishek Yadav). Raw-power wise, this places it directly in true flagship territory. On the other hand, the standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to use a Dimensity 8500 chipset designed to offer a solid mid-to-high-end experience.

Camera-wise, early reports suggest that the hardware might not change much from the previous generation. You can expect a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.
The massive battery upgrade
Perhaps the most impressive detail from these leaks is the rumored 6,500mAh battery for the standard model. If accurate, this represents a substantial jump over last year’s 5,500mAh capacity. To keep that massive cell topped up, the Brazilian certification included a 67W charger in the box. This is a requirement in that specific market, though users in Europe and other regions may need to buy their own power adapter.
With multiple certifications already cleared in Singapore and Brazil, a global launch seems imminent. The rumors of a May 2026 global release seem increasingly true.
