OPPO has officially confirmed a bunch of specs of its upcoming flagship smartphone. The device in question is the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, and it will become official tomorrow, April 21. Yes, this phone is coming to global markets as well, it will become OPPO’s first ‘Ultra’ phone to get a global version.
OPPO confirms some of the Find X9 Ultra specs ahead of launch
With that being said, OPPO confirmed some of its specs via Weibo. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor will fuel the device, as expected. It will be paired with OPPO’s Tidal Engine.
The company also confirmed that a 2K 144Hz display will be used by the device. It will be able to utilize a minimum brightness of 1 nit if necessary, and it will have “pixel-level gamma correction”. It will also be able to change the “comfort level of the display.”
What else? The battery capacity has been confirmed by the company as well. OPPO says that the Find X9 Ultra will include a 7,050mAh battery on the inside. It will be a silicon-carbon battery, of course.
The phone will support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Two symmetrical speakers were also mentioned, along with a bionic vibration motor. Crystal Shield glass will be a part of the package as well.
It will have great ingress protection
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will be IP66, IP68, and IP69 rated for water and dust resistance. OPPO also said that the phone has passed the Swiss SGS five-star drop and shock resistance test.
The company also mentioned a special chip for “mountatin and sea communication,” that will let users make calls and send texts over two satellites in places where regular networks don’t work. We’re not sure if this function will be available on the global model, though.
OPPO already officially showed us the design of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, while its teleconverter kit also surfaced. The black variant of the phone will have vegan leather on the back, or something similar to that.
We’ll know a lot more tomorrow, as the phone will become official. The OPPO Find X9s is also coming, by the way.
