Motorola is finally preparing to launch its much-anticipated book-style foldable Android smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold, across the UK and Europe. After initially previewing the device at the CES 2026 earlier this year, Motorola left fans guessing about exactly when it would hit store shelves. The wait is almost over, as newly opened pre-order pages in the UK and Europe suggest the Motorola Razr Fold will officially arrive during the first week of May.

The official UK and Europe store listings indicate that pre-orders for the Motorola Razr Fold will ship on May 6, which strongly points to that being the actual release date of the device. If you reserve the phone before May 3, Motorola is throwing in some early bird bonuses, including a free Moto Watch and a pair of Moto Buds Loop.
In Europe, the base model of the Motorola book-style foldable retails for a total of €1,999. If we convert that directly, it lands around $2,300 for the consumers in the US. However, looking at the pricing history of its existing flip phone lineup, it is highly likely that the final USA retail price will settle closer to $1,999 when the handset fully launches here.
The phone’s product page mentions the UK price as £1,799.99, which it discounts to £1,579.99 during the pre-order phase.
The first Motorola book-style foldable packs premium cameras and a massive battery
The Motorola Razr Fold launch marks the first time the company is moving to a book-style folding phone. The device features an 8.09-inch internal display paired with a 6.56-inch cover screen on the outside. Both panels use bright OLED technology to keep colors popping.
Under the hood, the handset runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor to handle heavy multitasking. The device houses a massive 6,000 mAh battery to keep both screens powered all day.
