Lenovo is always one of those brands that announces a metric ton of stuff at shows like Mobile World Congress, and it was no different this year, but what was different was that it unveiled its Legion Go Fold Concept, and we quickly learned it was worthy of our Best of Mobile World Congress 2026 award.
While this is just a concept, it’s a concept that’s so exciting we really hope Lenovo turns this into a real product you can buy. Gaming handhelds have exploded in popularity since the Steam Deck was released years ago, and Lenovo has contributed to that with devices like the Legion Go and Legion Go 2, and even the Legion Go S. However, a lot of the handhelds are still very much the same. Then you have the Legion Go Fold Concept, which envisions giving you a handheld that is part PC gaming handheld, part foldable tablet, part laptop, but all awesome.
The Lenovo Legion Go Fold is several devices in one
Technically, the Lenovo Legion Go and Legion Go 2 could be used as several different devices. The main difference is that the Legion Go Fold Concept changes and transforms into those actual devices in a way that feels like you’re using them. A handheld that has detachable controllers and leaves you with a big display that is now essentially just a tablet. But not just any tablet, a foldable tablet.
What makes this even better is that when using it as a handheld, the display can be folded and used in either landscape or portrait mode to fit the game. If you need a laptop-like experience, there’s a keyboard dock attachment that you can connect to, so it really feels like using a laptop. This is as opposed to just connecting a Bluetooth keyboard, which is what you would do with other handhelds.
Lenovo didn’t stop there. The Legion Go Fold Concept’s display can change between a smaller 7.7-inch screen and a larger 11.6-inch screen, depending on your needs. Lenovo even has the vertical mouse attachment for this thing, so you can play shooters like you would on any other PC.
