At Mobile World Congress 2026, TECNO has launched a new ultraphone, dubbed the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G. This brings a triple camera setup and improved protection/durability. This joins the other CAMON 50 models, the standard CAMON 50 and CAMON 50 Pro. The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra brings you an AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Victus 2, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, and a large 6,500mAh battery.
TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra features Gorilla Glass Victus 2
For the CAMON 50 Ultra, durability seems to be its main highlight. It gets a MIL-STD-810 certification for extreme durability and an IP69K dust and water resistance rating. The phone offers a premium build with a glass sandwich design with curved edges. The back panel also offers Corning Gorilla 7i protection as well.
The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra flaunts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 layer, and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display gets HDR10 and an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Connectivity options on board include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and an infrared sensor. You also get dual speakers and an FM Radio.
Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, 6,500mAh battery, and a 50MP telephoto unit
The TECNO phone features MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate SoC. This is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It packs a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging and bypass charging. It boots Android 16-based HiOS 16 custom skin on top. The company is reportedly promising up to 3 OS upgrades.
As for photography, the CAMON 50 Ultra offers a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. This setup is similar to the TECNO CAMON 50 Pro. You also get a 50MP camera with autofocus on the front for selfies.
The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra’s exact price details and availability are not here yet, but it will reportedly start at around €400 (~$467) in the EU. The phone will be available in Orange, Green, Purple, and Black shades.
