The Urus Just Got Even More Serious
When Lamborghini dropped the Urus SE two years back, it instantly became the brand’s most powerful SUV. The move to a plug-in hybrid definitely wasn’t just about sipping less fuel. It unleashed a serious power boost, with every Urus SE you can buy packing over 700 horses.
That benchmark didn’t last long. Now Lamborghini has unleashed the Urus SE Performante – a sharper, meaner twist on its electrified super SUV. This one sits at the top of the Urus food chain, bringing more power, less weight, and a bunch of aero and suspension upgrades for anyone who thinks their SUV should handle like a track toy.
The Performante badge is Lamborghini’s code for ‘turn it up to eleven,’ and that attitude is alive and well here. The plug-in hybrid setup stays, but engineers have gone over just about everything to wring out more speed.

More Power, Less Weight, Better Handling
Under the hood, you still get the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, now teamed up with an electric motor and a chunky 25.9-kWh battery. The result? A monstrous 800 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque – up by 11 hp and about 37 lb-ft compared to the regular Urus SE.
That extra muscle means this SUV rockets from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, or a tenth of a second quicker than the standard Urus SE. It can keep going all the way to a claimed 194 mph. Lamborghini says it’s now the fastest super SUV you can buy.
Power still goes through an eight-speed auto to all four wheels, and with the battery tucked under the trunk, you can cruise for up to 37 miles on electric juice alone.
But Lamborghini didn’t stop at the powertrain. Weight savings were a big deal here, with carbon fiber for the hood, roof, and side skirts, plus a featherweight Akrapovic exhaust. All told, the Performante sheds about 71 lbs compared to its sibling.
The air suspension got a retune too, cutting down on body shake, keeping roll in check through corners, and making the whole thing feel sharper when you flick it side to side.
Sharper Looks With Functional Upgrades
The visual tweaks aren’t just for show. The Urus SE Performante gets its own aero kit, with a new front bumper, nostrils on the hood, a beefier rear diffuser, carbon fiber gurney flap, and an extra roof spoiler for good measure.
All these tweaks cut drag by three percent and bump up downforce by 23%. Translation: more stability when you’re pushing triple digits, and a look that means business.
Carbon fiber is everywhere on the outside, making sure nobody mistakes this for a regular Urus SE. Inside, you get special trim, top-shelf materials, and sporty touches that match the Performante’s attitude, but without losing any of that Lamborghini luxury.
Lamborghini hasn’t dropped pricing or on-sale dates yet, but with the current Urus SE bearing a base price of around $260,000, the Performante can easily approach or even cross the $300,000 mark. Now that the Urus SE Performante is in the mix, anyone hunting for the wildest, fastest Lambo SUV has a new king to chase.
