Several new Galaxy A series smartphones from Samsung are now getting the latest security update. In other words, the Galaxy A56, A57, and A37 are now getting the Android security update for April 2026.
Three Samsung Galaxy A phones are now getting the April 2026 security update
The Galaxy A57 and A37 have been announced quite recently, while the Galaxy A56 arrived last year. The update for the Galaxy A56 and A37 started rolling out in Europe, while the update for the Galaxy A57 started popping up in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Since then, however, the update has spread to other markets. It only takes Samsung days to make that happen, usually, so chances are that you’ll get it soon, if you haven’t already. Just keep in mind that the update is rolling out in stages.
This update brings 47 security fixes to the table. 33 of those fixes have been provided by Google, while the remaining 14 have been pushed out by Samsung. It’s also worth noting that 14 of the fixes overall have been marked as high-priority.
This update is all about security
There are no new features included in this update; it’s all about security. So, it’s not exactly an exciting update, but fixes like these are always nice to see. Digital security is important.
It can take up to a few weeks for the update to reach all devices. So if it has not arrived on your phone just yet, just be patient, it’s coming soon. You can manually check for the update by going to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install. That may or may not speed up the process.
The Galaxy A57 and A37 were announced at the end of last month. These are the hottest mid-range phones that Samsung has to offer at the moment, and they’re already available in both the US and Europe, amongst other regions.
