America’s Land Cruiser in a Tuxedo Gets a Little More Expensive
The Lexus LX has always been a bit of an oddball in the lineup. Sure, it’s the biggest SUV Lexus offers, but peel back the fancy badge and plush interior, and you’ll find something familiar: it’s basically the only way Americans can get their hands on a full-size Toyota Land Cruiser, just dressed up with Lexus flair, tech, and all the trimmings.
For 2027, the LX sticks with the same LX 600 gas and LX 700h hybrid flavors, but you’ll need to dig a bit deeper into your wallet – prices are creeping up across the board. This follows the price increase for the 2026 model year.

Most of the price bumps are minor, and the LX Overtrail actually got a markdown, but if you’re eyeing the F SPORT Handling trims, brace yourself for a bigger jump. At least Lexus isn’t playing games with destination and handling fees like some other brands.

Small Updates, But More Standard Equipment
The LX 600 Premium now rolls on dark-finish 20-inch wheels, giving the base model a bit more swagger. Plus, a digital rearview mirror is now standard, so you get more tech without having to shell out for a pricier trim.
The F SPORT Handling trim gets a splash of color with red brake calipers front and rear, now standard. There’s also a new Palomino interior option, so you can mix up your cabin with another two-tone look if the usual sporty finishes aren’t your thing.
In terms of practicality, both the F SPORT Handling and Overtrail trims now come standard with one-touch power-folding rear seats, so flipping between hauling people and cargo is easier than ever. If you’re in a Premium model, you can snag this feature with the Interior Upgrade Package.
Otherwise, it’s business as usual. You still get to pick between the LX 600’s twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft, or the LX 700h hybrid’s beefier 457 horses and 583 lb-ft. Both keep the 10-speed auto and can tow up to 8,000 pounds – plenty for your weekend toys.

Arriving Later This Year
The 2027 Lexus LX should hit dealerships later this year. It still rides on the GA-F platform it shares with Toyota’s body-on-frame SUVs, blending luxury touches with real off-road chops. Every LX comes loaded with Active Height Control, Adaptive Variable Suspension, Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and the full Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite.
The hybrid LX 700h Overtrail is still the go-to for off-road fans, with its electronically controlled front and rear locking diffs and a waterproof hybrid battery that’s built to handle the rough stuff.
Inside, you still get the dual-screen infotainment setup, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available 25-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, massage seats on certain trims, and the ultra-plush four-seat Ultra Luxury setup if you want to treat your backseat passengers like royalty.
