Ever watch those videos of people on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube who make playing the guitar look so easy and effortless? Yea, those people probably poured hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into perfecting their craft. And you know what? It’s not too late for you to start playing the guitar either, especially if you have a Samsung TV.
Learn to play guitar on your Samsung TV
Samsung has announced that starting in 2026, those who own a Samsung TV will be able to access Fender Play if they want to learn how to play the guitar. This is thanks to a global partnership between Samsung and Fender. The latter is a brand best known for their electric guitars.
Fender Play offers numerous lessons for users to start learning guitar from the comfort of their own living room. According to Samsung, there are four different instruments users can choose from. The list includes the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele.
There are also different courses based on skill level. So, if you’re a complete beginner, that won’t be an issue. Or if you already have some experience but want to polish it further, you can do that too. Fender Play won’t be focused just on theory. There are familiar songs that you can play along to, which is a great way to learn your instrument. Plus, it exposes you to different techniques or genres, which will build on your musical vocabulary.
When and where is it available?
The Fender Play app will be first released for Samsung TVs released in 2025 and later. Samsung did not mention if it will come to older TV models. Hopefully it will in a later update, but we’ll have to wait and see. As for regional availability, Samsung says it will be available in 49 countries. This includes regions across the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea.
If, for whatever reason, you have an older and eligible Samsung TV or live in a country that isn’t supported, don’t worry. The Fender Play app is available on iOS and Android devices. This means you can always use your phone or tablet or cast it to your TV if you prefer using a bigger screen.
