The OnePlus Open is now getting a new update, which does bring the June 2025 Android security update, but… it’s about much more than that. This update brings several new features, and a bunch of improvements.
The update has started rolling out in India, but it will quickly spread to other markets. This is the update for global versions of the phone. The exact software version is OxygenOS 15.0.0.830, and it’s rolling out in stages.
New OnePlus Open update adds remote Windows PC control, Speaker cleaner feature & more
Let’s talk about the new features first, shall we. This update adds remote control for Windows PCs. It allows you to control your PC and access PC files remotely from the OnePlus Open.
OnePlus has also added the Speaker cleaner feature with this update, to keep the speakers performing optimally. On top of that, the Drag & drop feature has been added, and it allows you to use gestures to perform actions on images and text in third-party apps.
With this update, OnePlus has also improved the cellular network algorithm for smoother network connections. The company is also enabling you to perform fuzzy searches with spaces in Settings.
Various other changes are listed in the changelog
You can now also search for app names in Settings to quickly view app details and manage apps. The floating bar responsiveness of floating windows has been improved, too. The same goes for the animation when exiting Quick Settings and the Notification drawer.
This update also optimizes the display order of search results in Settings. Several more entries have been included in the official changelog, which you can check out below.
You’ll have to be patient when it comes to this update, though. As already mentioned, the rollout in other regions will start shortly, and it may already have by the time you’re reading this. So… just be patient, the update is coming. Check out our OnePlus Open review for more information about the phone.
