Xiaomi hasn’t yet started rolling out last year’s Xiaomi 17 series of flagship smartphones globally. However, the rumors regarding the Xiaomi 18 series devices have already started surfacing on the internet. Recent rumors indicated that the Xiaomi 18 series will get some serious camera and charging speed upgrades. Now, a Chinese blogger has leaked an alleged render of the Xiaomi 18, which shows its purported design.
Xiaomi 18 alleged leaked render suggests an iPhone 16 Pro-like design
As you can see in the image, the Xiaomi 18 could closely resemble the iPhone 16 Pro as far as the rear design is concerned. The phone seems to have the same triple camera setup with an LED flash unit placed inside an elevated island at the top-left corner of the back. However, it doesn’t have the LiDAR scanner. There’s also LEICA branding on the camera island of the leaked Xiaomi 18 render.

Apple iPhones could inspire the Xiaomi 18, mirroring Xiaomi’s flagship phone naming strategy. Xiaomi will not launch the Xiaomi 18 series before September. However, it’s too early to expect that this is the real and final design of the Xiaomi 18, so we advise our readers to take this leak with a grain of salt.
What do we know about the Xiaomi 18?
If we believe the reports and leaks, the Xiaomi 18 will offer a 6.4-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz maximum adaptive refresh rate. The brand could power the device with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. As per recent leaks, the phone could have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a large 200MP periscope telephoto shooter.
Furthermore, the leaks suggest that Xiaomi will ship the Xiaomi 18 series with Android 17 alongside the latest version of HyperOS. We can also expect improvements in the fast charging capabilities. Since the launch isn’t around the corner, a lot could change.
