Vivo has started teasing its upcoming X300 series of flagship smartphones, the successors to last year’s X200 series (review). Vivo recently revealed the key details about the camera features of the X300 series. The official said that both the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will have a 200MP camera at the rear. A reliable tipster has now suggested that Vivo’s X300 Ultra model, the most high-end offering of the trio, will be the world’s first smartphone with two 200MP cameras.
Additionally, a Vivo official continues to share the features of the X300 series smartphones. In a post on Weibo, he has confirmed some details regarding the bezels and display technologies of these phones.
Vivo’s X300 Ultra could boast three cameras at the rear, including two 200MP ones
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Vivo will equip the X300 Ultra with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera at the back. While the tipster didn’t provide any information about the sensor, it could be the X300 Pro’s 200MP Samsung HPB sensor. Vivo has already confirmed it is the company’s fourth-generation of the 200MP HPB telephoto. The brand has designed the deeply customized sensor in collaboration with ZEISS.
Furthermore, the source claims that the X300 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera lens. It could be Sony’s upcoming LYT-990 35mm sensor. The back of the phone will feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle third camera, potentially developed by ZEISS.
The smartphone will also feature ZEISS T* coating for clarity and Vivo’s self-developed video + imaging chip. Vivo has already confirmed that all upcoming X300 series smartphones will offer 50MP ZEISS front-facing cameras with a 92-degree field-of-view.
Vivo’s upcoming X series phones will offer the narrowest bezels
Vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao has posted on Weibo that the X300 series phones will flaunt the slimmest four-sided bezels seen on any offering from the brand to date. He has compared the ultra-thin bezel design of the X300 with that of the iPhone 16 Pro, and the X300 clearly has narrower bezels in the image.
Boxiao said that the company has achieved this level of slimness in bezels with the help of LIPO technology. This tech significantly reduces the border size to deliver an edge-to-edge viewing effect. All three X300 series phones will flaunt BOE’s customized Q10 Plus light-emitting material. This will result in higher brightness, decreased color deviation, and enhanced power efficiency.

Furthermore, the official said that the screens of the X300 series will also sport ZEISS Master Color calibration. It will ensure natural color reproduction whether watching videos or viewing high-resolution photos. Other highlights of the screens will include a dual eye-care system, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming at the highest brightness, full brightness DC dimming, and OriginOS 6’s visual comfort features.
Here are some more details about the X300 series
Vivo hasn’t revealed anything about the display size of the new X series phones. However, the tipster DCS suggests that the X300 series will have flat AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1.5K pixels. They will have high 120Hz refresh rates, HDR10+ support, and a max brightness of 4,500 nits. One of these handsets will have a compact 6.3-inch screen panel.
Since Vivo has officially started teasing the design and features of the X300 series, a launch date announcement may not be far away. We can expect the company to launch them by the end of September or in early October.
