Work has started on two high-rises at the Denver Tech Center. Ground has been broken on the first tower, which will be 22-stories and construction is expected to take two years. The second tower, 21 stories tall, will include an approximately 11,000-square-foot market, 314 apartment units, a pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen.
The area currently has 804,000 square feet of office space, nearly 130,000 square feet of retail and restaurant and 928 residential units. At build out, the district is expected to include approximately 2.8 million square feet of office space, about 185,000 square feet of retail and restaurant and 3,300 residential units.
The Denver Business Journal reports the developers have built nearly 1 million square feet of office space that is fully occupied and leased. The project’s developer is Gensler.
