Seattle’s Ballard Mill Marina has changed hands, with the owners selling the private marina to a boutique real estate company for $9.55 million.
The large marine industrial property in the heart of Ballard has been sold to investment and development company Wing Point Partners, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The industrial property, located at 4601 Shilshole Avenue Northwest, spans 16 acres and is historically significant as the home of the 130-year-old Ballard Mill Marina. The site had been owned by members of the Black family since 1889, making it one of the region’s longest-held private waterfront properties.
The Ballard Mill Marina site includes roughly 11 acres of land and five acres of submerged land along Salmon Bay in the heart of Ballard’s historic maritime community. The property is home to the Ballard Mill Marina, a recreational marina, over 500 linear feet of commercial wharf and a variety of industrial buildings.
