International law firm WilmerHale has restructured its lease at 60 State St., a 912,000-square-foot office tower in downtown Boston owned by Starwood REIT. A tenant in the building since 1977, the firm will continue its presence under a new long-term lease for 201,018 square feet on eight floors.
“This renewal underscores the long-term partnership of one of Boston’s most respected law firms with one of the country’s premier landlords,” said Savills brokerage chair and Boston market leader Roy Hirshland. “It demonstrates how the city’s leading office towers continue to draw and retain top-tier tenants, with WilmerHale’s continued presence at the property underscoring the firm’s deep Boston roots and the building’s lasting prestige.”
Hirshland, alongside Savills vice chairmen Thomas Fulcher and Arthur Greenberg, executive managing director Ron Perry, and corporate managing director Matthew Perry, represented WilmerHale. JLL managing directors Dan Cavanaugh and Ryan Enright and senior managing director Patrick Nugent represented Starwood REIT.
