President Trump, fresh from his trip to Asia, will host a Halloween celebration Thursday evening at the White House.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump are expected to hand out commemorative candies. The U.S. Air Force Strolling Strings band is also scheduled to play Halloween music mixed with modern tunes, according to the White House.
The event comes as the East Wing is under construction for the president’s $300 million ballroom project. Reaction to the demolition, which began last week, has been mixed.
The celebration is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
