The Senate Judiciary subcommittees on the Constitution and the Federal Courts are holding a joint hearing Tuesday afternoon related to checks and balances from judicial branch on executive power.
The hearing comes as tension between President Trump and the federal courts have heated up amid challenges to his executive actions from the overhaul of the federal government and mass layoffs to the president’s sweeping tariff agenda to his crackdown on illegal immigration to his fight with higher education institutions and law firms.
