Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will give his semiannual testimony Tuesday morning before the House Financial Services Committee
The hearing comes just days after the nation’s central bank announced it would once again keep interest rates steady, amid trade policy fluctuations and the unrest in the Middle East.
President Trump has consistently ripped Powell over the lack of rate cuts since he returned to office in January and even quipped last week that he could appoint himself to lead the Fed instead.
Powell will also face the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
