Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Dan Caine will testify Wednesday morning on the Pentagon’s fiscal 2026 budget request before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
The hearing comes as questions mount over how the Trump administration will respond to the conflict between Israel and Iran. President Trump has not ruled out the U.S. military getting involved.
It also comes as concerns rise over the administration’s use of National Guard troops and Marines to quell anti-immigration raid protests in Los Angeles.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
