In the early nineties, Dodge put a V10 engine within reach of the masses with the original Viper, where the American V10 would continue its halo effect under the hood of the American exotic for several decades to follow. Soon after the Viper’s launch, Dodge began offering V10 power to pickup shoppers, and Ford followed into V10 territory a few years later with their own V10 available to 4×4 shoppers as well.
