Volvo isn’t known for being a “sporty brand.” Despite its nearly 100-year-old existence, the Swedish car company has focused more on practicality, safety, and, more recently, luxury. While German and Italian offerings were putting V8s in everything they produced, Volvo was more focused on making wagons with a dozen airbags like the V60 Cross Country. Call it different priorities, if you will. But, hidden in Volvo’s vast discography of models lie some impressive sporty offerings that prove Gothenburg doesn’t mess around when it want to play rough.
