After launching a handful of Vivo X300 series flagship smartphones, the company is now working on its next-gen X500 series devices. Last month, a tipster revealed the chip Vivo will use in the upcoming X500 devices. Now, a leaker from China has shared the camera details of the Vivo X500 Pro Max model.
Vivo’s X500 Pro Max may feature the upcoming Sony LYT-838 camera sensor
A Chinese tipster who goes by the name Smart Pikachu on Weibo has shared some camera features of an upcoming Vivo X500 series device. While the source hasn’t mentioned the exact model, comments on the tipster’s Weibo post point toward the Vivo X500 Pro Max variant.
As per the source, the Vivo X500 Pro Max could flaunt the upcoming Sony LYT-838 camera module. It will be a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor, as suggested by the earlier leaks. As per reports, the LYT-838 could sport the LOFIC technology, which could deliver enhanced dynamic range and low-light performance. It will be an enhanced version of the LYT-828, which Vivo offers on the X300 Pro without the LOFIC tech.
Furthermore, the tipster claims that the Vivo X500 Pro Max will offer a triple primary camera module at the rear. One of these sensors will be a 200MP telephoto periscope lens, while the other one will be an upgraded ultra-wide-angle shooter. Additionally, the source suggests that the X500 Pro Max may feature a large 7,000mAh battery.
Here’s what we know so far about the Vivo X500 series
According to the previous reports, Vivo’s X500 series phones will reflect the brand’s new chip strategy with a performance split. The company may utilize two separate chips in the next-gen flagship range. The vanilla Vivo X500 may offer the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 SoC. As for the X500 Pro, it could utilize the more advanced Dimensity 9600 Pro chip.
There’s no word regarding the Vivo X500 Pro Max’s SoC, but it will likely have the same Dimensity 9600 Pro chip as the Pro variant. All three phones will have 7,000mAh or higher capacity batteries. Unfortunately, there’s no word regarding the other features of these devices so far. We will keep you informed as soon as the rumor mill reveals something, so watch this space for upcoming updates.
