Vivo officially confirmed that its next-gen flagship phone, the X300 series, will be officially announced on October 13. The X300’s predecessor, the X200, took some pretty amazing photos, so we are excited to see what the X300 is capable of. But we won’t have to wait for the official announcement to find out. Thanks to several posts on Weibo, camera samples from the Vivo X300 Pro have been revealed. This should give us a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Vivo X300 Pro camera samples are stunning
Now, we have to say that based on these camera samples of the Vivo X300 Pro, we’re floored. Assuming there’s no trickery, at a glance, you might easily assume that these images were taken with a professional DSLR camera with some serious lens attachments. The photos look crisp, and the colors look well-balanced.
Some of the photos were taken at the Changchun Air Show. Since the show involved planes in the sky, it used the phone’s zoom function, which actually looks stunning. Vivo is also expected to release a Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter kit that will take its zoom capabilities to the next level. You can check out the photo samples in the gallery below. However, if you want to see them uncompressed, you can find them posted on CCTV News’ Weibo page.
Honor’s coming in with the telephoto too
Now, one of the highlights of the Vivo X300 Pro is its 200MP telephoto camera. However, Vivo won’t be alone in pushing the boundaries of what a phone’s camera is capable of. Honor is also expected to debut its Magic 8 series flagship phones in October. One of the features of the phone is also a 200MP telephoto camera.
Once again, we have to say that, like the X300 Pro, we are impressed with what the Honor Magic 8 series is capable of. Some of these photos were taken at night, and the lack of visible noise is astounding. Dimly lit environments are where most phone cameras tend to struggle. However, based on what we’re seeing, it doesn’t appear that way.
We have attached some samples of the Magic 8’s camera below, but you can check out the full-res and uncompressed images on Ouyang Tonghe’s Weibo page.Â
