Vivo has just announced two quite powerful mid-rangers, the Vivo V70 and Vivo X70 Elite. These two phones are the most powerful mid-range devices the company has to offer, actually. They’ve been announced in India, but the availability will spread in the near future.
The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are identical in all ways but one
These two phones are almost identical. The only difference is on the inside, and it’s the SoC that fuels them. Everything else is basically identical between them. Let’s talk about the design first, though.
They look identical. We’re looking at a flat display on both of them, along with a centered display camera hole up top. The bezels around the display are both thin and uniform (1.25mm), while all the physical keys are on the right side.
The two devices have a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display each, with a resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels. HDR10+ content is supported, while the refresh rate is 120Hz. Both phones also support a 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and up to 5,000 nits of brightness.

The Vivo V70 Elite comes with a more powerful processor
The Vivo V70 is fueled by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the Vivo V70 Elite comes with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Both of thema re 4nm chips, but the latter is more powerful, of course.
Both devices also come in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 flash storage. That may differ from one market to the next, as not all of these variants will be available. Vivo did not skimp out on RAM and storage quality here, though.
Android 16 comes pre-installed with OriginOS 6 ont op of it. Vivo promises 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. Two nano SIM card slots are available, along with a 6,500mAh battery. That goes for both phones, of course, and so does 90W charging support.
A powerful triple camera setup along with ZEISS
A 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor size, Sony IMX766 sensor) sits on the back of both phones, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (115-degree FoV). The third camera is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (1/1.95-inch sensor size, Sony IMX882 sensor). ZEISS optics are a part of the package.

Both phones are IP68 and IP69 certified for water and dust resistance, while there’s also an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on both of them. Stereo speakers are included, as is Bluetooth 5.4.
4D game vibration + proper VC cooling
It is also worth noting that both phones offer 4D game vibration wth an X-axis linear motor and 90fps BGMI gaming. 4,200mm² VC cooling is also on board.
The Vivo V70 comes in Lemon Yellow and Passion Red colors. The Vivo V70 Elite comes in the Passion Red, Authentic Black, and Sand Beige colors.
The pricing for the Vivo V70 starts at Rs. 45,999 ($505) in India, and goes up to Rs. 49,999 ($549). The Vivo V70 Elite’s pricing starts at Rs. 51,999 ($570) and goes up to Rs. 61,999 ($680). The pricing may differ in other markets.
