Tickets will soon be on sale, and hotel rooms can be reserved in a few months at the Universal Kids Resort in Frisco. Work is supposed to be completed early next year. At full buildout, Universal Kids Resort is expected to feature a 300-room hotel and a slew of rides, restaurants and shops, all designed around popular movie characters.
Construction on the $550 million attraction began in 2023. The development team includes general contractor Balfour Beatty, architect Gensler and utility contractor Moss Utilities LLC.
The park is located on a 97-acre site at the northeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway. The park will be smaller than the Universal resort in Orlando.
The park is expected to draw 7,500 guests on an average day and 20,000 guests on peak days, such as holidays and summer vacation.
