Unihertz has kicked off crowdfunding for its latest phone with a physical keyboard. Called the Unihertz Titan 2 Elite, the phone’s early campaign sales on Kickstarter have crushed the original funding goal of one hundred thousand dollars. At the time of writing, the Titan 2 Elite’s Kickstarter campaign has already brought more than two million dollars from thousands of eager backers in a couple of days after the launch.
Unihertz is offering two Titan 2 Elite models with different hardware
The Unihertz Titan 2 Elite’s Kickstarter campaign has brought in $2.6 million in sales so far, and it still has 47 more days to end. The company is offering two variants of the device, including the Titan 2 Elite and Titan 2 Elite Pro. The vanilla Titan 2 Elite costs $389 during the campaign, though its price will jump to $489 at regular retail. The Titan 2 Elite Pro variant goes for $479 at the moment, while its final retail price will be $579.
As for the difference, the Unihertz Titan 2 Elite utilizes a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor and offers you 256GB of native storage. The Titan 2 Elite Pro, on the other hand, has a faster Dimensity 9400 chip along with 512GB of internal memory.
The Titan 2 Elite brings modern specs with a familiar design
While the design of the Titan 2 Elite leans on older BlackBerry phones, the hardware is powerful enough for modern use. The phone offers 5G connectivity, a newer Android version, and improved internal hardware compared to earlier Unihertz models. The handset isn’t trying to compete directly with mainstream flagship devices. Instead, it focuses on a specific group of users who want a different experience with a QWERTY keyboard for typing.
Talking about the main features, both the Titan 2 Elite and Elite Pro phones come with a 4.03-inch AMOLED 120Hz display and 12GB of RAM. Both have two 50MP cameras at the rear and a 32MP selfie shooter on the front. Powering these devices is a 4,050mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. The other highlights include Android 16, Wi-Fi 6, a fingerprint sensor, and 5G connectivity.
