Some designs announce themselves. Others arrive more quietly, their intentions revealed to those who pause to observe. Undia, designed by Polish design brand TAMO, belongs to the latter – its form shaped not by sharp gestures, but by a steady, continuous flow. Inspired by the rhythm of a wave, the chair’s soft curves and seamless transitions bring a sense of movement into stillness, offering a moment of calm – and a seat for it.
This sense of flow is reflected in Undia’s construction. A solid oak frame provides the chair with its grounded presence, while softly contoured bent plywood forms the seat and backrest. The transition between materials is seamless, allowing the chair’s silhouette to read as one uninterrupted line rather than a collection of parts. Gentle curves introduce softness and comfort, reminiscent of a gentle wave rolling onto shore, while the underlying structure remains quietly stable – designed to support everyday use without visually weighing the chair down.
UNDIA is offered in six finishes: natural oak, dark oak, ebony oak, and black oak, with burgundy and olive adding subtle color to the palette.
Soft in presence yet confident in form, UNDIA settles into a room with an ease that feels instinctive rather than imposed. Its flowing geometry elevates its surroundings gently, bringing balance without demanding attention. Designed to endure both visually and structurally, the chair offers comfort, craftsmanship, and modern clarity.
