Restaurateur Byungmoon Chun, owner of Moontree Sushi and Tapas and part-owner of Nohm Sushi Bar, is expanding with a new fast-casual concept, Tsuki Shokudo. The restaurant has leased 1,575 square feet at 23 Mercer Street in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood.
Kidder Mathews Senior Associate Mia Ponce and Senior Vice President Kelly Gaddis represented Chun in the lease. The property is owned by Winson Investment, LLC., Series Mercer. Tsuki Shokudo’s location directly across the street from Moontree Sushi and Tapas will allow the chain to build on their established presence in the neighborhood.
The building totals 5,891 square feet and offers visibility in one of Seattle’s most established dining corridors. Chun’s expansion reflects a broader trend of local operators doubling down on the Seattle market with new concepts. “This space was an excellent fit for Tsuki Shokudo, with existing restaurant infrastructure and a prime Lower Queen Anne location,” said Ponce.
