For most people, one of the last things they’re worried about with their car is their spare tire. Case in point, when I purchased my current vehicle, a 2000 Toyota RAV4, four years ago, I was shocked to find out the spare tire on the rear-mounted tire carrier was the original. It seems the previous owners either never had a flat or never saw fit to use it, but I know they aren’t alone.
