Tomorrow on September 9, Apple will officially host an event in which it is expected that the company will unveil its new iPhone 17 lineup. However, there is probably more to the event than just the iPhones. We expect a bunch of other product refreshes as well. So, if you’re looking forward to new Apple products, here’s a roundup of the upcoming September event.
Apple September event roundup
Obviously, the main draw here will be the iPhone 17 series. According to the rumors, Apple will equip its iPhone 17 lineup with the A19 and A19 Pro chipset. The base iPhone will probably be the most boring of the lot. It won’t see any design changes and will most likely use the standard A19 chipset.
The iPhone 17 Air, on the other hand, will be the most exciting. This is because it has been years since Apple introduced a new model. Plus, it is also rumored to be Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever. The Pro and Pro Max models should be just as exciting. Based on the leaks we’ve seen, Apple will introduce a redesigned camera module. We’re not sure if this is purely an aesthetics choice or if there are hidden features. Either way, we’ll find out more tomorrow.
But that’s not all
Refreshed AirPods Pro
Apple usually uses its annual iPhone event to refresh other products related to the iPhone. In this case, we might be able to look forward to a refresh of the AirPods Pro. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch the AirPods Pro 3 this year. The updated model is rumored to bring heart rate monitoring features similar to the Powerbeats Pro 2. But if you’re in no rush to upgrade, Kuo says a more significant refresh could take place next year. This could include the use of an infrared camera that can recognize hand gestures.
Upgrade Apple Watch
In addition to the AirPods Pro 3, Apple could use the event to refresh its Apple Watch series. We’re talking about the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the Apple Watch SE 3. It doesn’t look like the upgrades will be particularly huge. The rumors claim all three smartwatches could use the same chip that shares the same architecture as the Series 9 and Series 10 chips.
New accessories
Last but not least, Apple could also introduce new accessories. This could come in the form of the AirTag 2, which is rumored to feature a newer UWB chip for better connectivity, longer range, and more robust privacy upgrades. Then, Apple might also introduce a new crossbody strap accessory for the iPhone 17. It’s an interesting choice and gives users an alternative way of carrying their new iPhones.
