Tishman Speyer completed a 240,000-square-foot lease extension with bp at CME Center in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop district.
Global energy firm bp will maintain the same footprint it currently occupies on the entire seventh through tenth floors of 10, 20 and 30 South Wacker Drive. The extension will keep bp’s Chicago office at the campus through at least 2032. Tishman Speyer was represented by Ellen May of its in-house leasing team, while bp was represented by Matt Carolan, Andy Strand and Kevin Morgan of JLL.
CME Center consists of two 40-story office towers, at 10 and 30 South Wacker Drive, which are connected by a 10-story center structure. Working with Chicago-based architecture practice Kreuck Sexton Partners, Tishman Speyer recently completed a reimagining of CME Center’s lobby, façade and entrances. The redesigned lobby forms a flowing, modern boulevard between the two towers, its concourse and the river, connecting every entrance to Wacker Drive.
