A rather interesting new smartphone is on its way. This phone will not only feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor but offer water cooling as well, on top of air cooling. Well, at least according to a new rumor.
RedMagic’s upcoming phone has air cooling, water cooling, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC
According to a rumor from X, the RedMagic 11 Pro will not only support air cooling, but water cooling too. This is a gaming smartphone, in case you’re wondering, and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The phone is expected to arrive before the end of the year. It did surface on Geekbench already, though under the ‘nubia NX809J’ name. RedMagic is technically a part of nubia, hence the nubia name.
In any case, back when it surfaced on Geekbench, it managed to score 3,309 points in the single-core, and 10,742 points in the multi-core test. That listing also confirmed that Android 16 will be included, along with 16GB of RAM. Well, at least one model will offer 16GB of RAM. There’s a good chance we’ll see a 24GB RAM variant too.
It will likely offer the best smartphone cooling setup on the market
This phone will seemingly have the best cooling on the market. We’d usually say this is overkill, but considering this is a gaming smartphone, advanced cooling systems are always welcome.
The RedMagic 11 Pro will be aimed towards gamers, and running graphically-intensive games on a phone can be challenging, so it’s good to see that RedMagic is doing everything in its power to keep things cool.
This smartphone will likely have a large display too, with minimal bezel. Based on previous models, we’re also expecting to see an under-display selfie camera. Why? Well, so that there are no distractions on the screen, in the form of camera holes.
